MY STORY

Before college, I never considered majoring in psychology and was initially interested in architecture-related careers. Over time, I lost that interest, leaving me unsure about what to study. At 17, while researching potential majors, I discovered Psychology and the wide range of career opportunities it offered. From that moment on, I wanted to pursue Psychology and have never looked back.
The opportunities and support I received both academically and personally were truly life-changing. ECU has opened countless doors and provided me with unwavering support from friends, coworkers, and professors, all of whom have gone above and beyond for me. I have learned from dedicated professionals, collaborated on research with close friends, and even developed my own research and thesis. I have even had the chance to become an intern for the ECU Family and Marriage Therapy Clinic, which has been an amazing learning opportunity that has inspired me to pursue a career in clinical therapy.
“Choosing ECU was one of the best decisions I made for my journey in Psychology.”
