MY STORY

When I arrived at ECU, I had just gotten out of the Marine Corps after four years of service. I started off majoring in business, seeing that as a safe pick for a job when I got done with school. After my first Psychology class, I realized I was passionate about studying human behavior and the mind, and the next semester had changed my major to psychology. Soon after that, I discovered neuroscience by listening to Andrew Huberman’s podcast, became fascinated with the underlying neurological drivers of behavior, and began a double major in the two subjects.
I’m currently in my senior year of my double major, conducting research in Dr. Golden’s lab and working as a Behavior Technician at BCPS for children with autism. I intend to pursue a master’s degree in ABA after graduation with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.
