Please note: The GRE General Test will not be required by the Department of Psychology for the 2022-2023 admission cycle (i.e., for students applying for Fall 2023 enrollment). The department is piloting the elimination of the GRE requirement.

Graduate Programs

The Department of Psychology at ECU offers a PhD degree in Health Psychology that is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and judgment needed to become active contributors at the highest-levels of research, teaching, and service. This program has three unique concentration areas: Clinical Health Psychology, Occupational Health Psychology, and Pediatric School Psychology.

We also offer a Master’s degree in Psychology with concentrations in Clinical, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and School Psychology as well as a Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) degree.

Additionally, we offer a graduate certificate in Quantitative Methods for the Social and Behavioral and Sciences.
