Welcome to the ECU PASS Clinic

Our Clinic

The mission of the Pass Clinic is to be a center of excellence in training psychologists. We are a non-profit psychology clinic associated with the ECU Doctoral Program in Health Psychology. The Clinic provides behavioral health services to ECU faculty and staff, as well as the surrounding community, while also providing supervised training for graduate student clinicians.

Professional Services

Professional services are offered in the areas of clinical expertise of our licensed faculty supervisors. Because we are part of a major research university, our faculty supervisors and student therapists employ evidence-based and the most helpful treatment methods. We are fortunate to have experts in several specialty services or areas of practice, and our students are supervised in the delivery of these services.

Our Commitment to Diversity

The ECU Pass Clinic embraces the concept of human diversity and the goal of providing sensitive and competent care to all. We maintain a commitment to treat all patients as valued and respected individuals across all differences. The ECU Community recognizes that global diversity is increasing in our everyday lives and asks all of us to challenge ourselves to develop qualities of adaptability, flexibility, and versatility so that we may all learn to work effectively with those different from ourselves. The PASS Clinic is further committed to the concept of cultural humility in training and in providing services. We embrace an inclusive definition of diversity, including age, culture, developmental and acquired disabilities, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic differences. Further, we wish to learn from others while facilitating healing in our lives, and in the lives of those we serve and train.

Location

The ECU PASS Clinic is located on the third floor of the Rawl building (Room 311 across from the elevators) on the ECU East campus.

Affordable Fees

Because we are a non-profit training clinic, we can provide patients with professional, confidential psychological services based on a reduced-cost sliding fee scale. We work with each patient individually to determine affordable rates for our services. All first appointments (Intake Sessions) are provided free of charge. For subsequent therapy sessions, the session fee is based on household income and the number of persons in the household; this fee ranges from $5-$30 per session. Psychoeducational/ psychological evaluations (both adult and pediatric) range from $400-$500 total. We do not accept insurance.

All patients will be provided a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the total expected cost for services before any services begin.

Disability Services

East Carolina University seeks to comply fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Students requesting accommodations based on a disability must be registered with the Department for Disability Support Services located in Slay 138. Please call 252-737-1016.
