Research Interests
As a researcher and instructor, Dr. Sullivan’s interests lie in the intersection of movement and learning. Her primary interest is embodied cognition – how our bodies and minds work together to produce outcomes – and how that applies to students’ learning material as well as humans learning to connect our physical and mental experiences. Dr. Sullivan has experience leading faculty groups and researchers outside the classroom in designing process improvements for interfacing with technology. Additionally, Dr. Sullivan explores solutions for disconnecting from the digital world and reengaging with nature to bolster one’s mental health.
